Instructions:
Consult this page and the embedded help pages for correct use.
Warning:
PsyMetRiC is designed to inform clinical decisions but must not drive them. Clinical decisions should rely on a range of information including patient preference.
Performance of PsyMetRiC is reliant upon an internet connection.
Intended Use:
PsyMetRiC is a web-based clinical decision support tool intended for use by qualified health professionals. It calculates and displays estimates of the likelihood of
developing non-serious cardiometabolic outcomes—specifically, weight gain within one year, metabolic syndrome within six years, and type 2 diabetes within ten+ years—in young adults aged 16–35 with a psychotic disorder.
The information is intended to inform, not drive, clinical management and to support shared decision-making. PsyMetRiC does not screen, diagnose, triage, prioritize,
alert, or determine any clinical action; it does not provide treatment recommendations or diagnostic outputs, and it contains no embedded clinical thresholds or
risk categories. It is not intended for time-critical or emergency use.
Accompanying documentation describes the basis of the estimates (inputs, model approach, validation, and limitations) to allow independent clinical review.
Inputs are transmitted securely to the server, processed transiently in memory, and then discarded. No patient identifiable data are stored.
Classification: Class I Medical Device under UK MDR 2002
